The DIGIT Centre is anchored in the Department of Engineering at Aarhus University (ENG) and led by Professor Peter Gorm Larsen. The overall structure of the different entities involved with the governance and management of the centre is shown in the figure below. The members and the responsibilities for each of these are described below.

In addition to the topic-based research activities, the centre leadership will motivate cross-disciplinary research activities between research areas strengthen the research base through strategic hiring, and foster close interaction with public as well as industrial partners. The centre leadership will gradually strengthen and expand the centre into novel competence areas matching with presence of excellence and relevance of topic for the centre to improve strength, visibility, and power for external collaboration.


The DIGIT Centre Board

This is the supervisory body for the execution of the Centre and is responsible for its strategic management and overall direction. It has the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee that the Centre on schedule and within budget;
  • Approve changes to the budget;
  • Approve and stimulate strategic initiatives; and
  • Mediate good collaboration between the involved partners.
